This fall Amy Radin is joining New York Univesity (NYU)’s School of Professional Studies as adjunct faculty, teaching Building & Leading Effective Teams as part of the founding faculty for NYU SPS’s new MS in Entrepreneurship & Management program.
The course is built on something I’ve tested across a few different operating roles at Citi, American Express, and AXA, and more recently at Columbia University: that leading a team well today is inseparable from leading change. AI, distributed work, eroding institutional trust, and generational shift don’t resolve at the top of an organization they land on the team leader, and most team-leadership courses still teach as if they don’t. This one works from NYU program director Noa Gafni’s “New Five Forces” framework and is built to apply whether a student is leading a founding team, running a family business, or managing inside a large organization.
